This is just another way that the TTA brand is being diluted. There's no particular real tie-in to the TTA site. Another case of the technology tail wagging the dog. Also, there's no place for comments on newsletter improvements. As we move toward electronic distribution of the newsletter and hike schedules, the we should consider moving the printed issue towards becoming a high quality feature focused publication. Check ATC and Appalachian Mountain Club pubs for example. Another way of fulfilling out education mission.</td></tr><tr><td>25</td><td style="white-space:nowrap;">Apr 27, 2010 3:43 PM</td><td>To be blunt, TTA is an organization for fluffy day hikes, socializing, and folks who consider themselves old, whether they are or not. It saddens me and would not be my choice.</td></tr><tr><td>26</td><td style="white-space:nowrap;">Apr 27, 2010 3:54 PM</td><td>With TTA, a hike has to be planned and committed to MONTHS in advance to get into the newsletter. The existence of the TTA for approximately thirty years is amazing, but to see the growth and goals that have been accomplished is even more amazing. I am proud to have been there in the beginning! So I hiked alone.I felt I was ostracized.
