Southeast Foot Trails Coalition

The Southeast Foot Trails Coalition seeks to promote and protect the long distance foot trails of the Southeast and connecting trails and their natural trail corriders by building a regional trail system and an active network of hiking organizations.

The goals of the coalition are:

  • To promote a regional network of long-distance hiking trails by communicating our vision broadly throughout the Southeast, as well as nationwide.
  • To build and strengthen relationships between the organizations and individuals who are building and maintaining our network of foot trails.
  • To protect natural trail corriders by jointly raising the visibility of the value and importance of hiking trails to the public, affected trail communities, and our elected officials and other relevent decision makers, by jointly supporting efforts that impact our network.
  • To build hiking trails in the Southest. We will cooperate on projects that link our trails and further our vision. We will help each other through informatiuon sharing and sweat equity.
