The Cumberland Trail Conference (CTC) is an Associate Organization whose mission is the completion of the Cumberland Trail. The CTC is a partner with Tennessee State Parks in the development and management of the Cumberland Trail State Park.

The Tennessee Rail-Trail Advisory Council (TRAC), is an Associate Organization that is involved with the preservation of abandoned rail corridors through the state.

Although not an official part of TTA, the Kentucky Trails Association (KTA) is a sister organization in that state. TTA is actively supporting the development of KTA by providing assistance in a variety of ways.
