INFORMATION ABOUT THE ANNUAL AUCTION FUNDRAISER The TTA Auction is a major fund raising event for TTA projects and is always one of the favorite activities of the Annual Meeting. The Cumberland Trail Conference BreakAway program will be the principal beneficiary again this year. Items offered for sale include donated merchandise and services by vendors who support TTA and it's objectives, arts and crafts contributed by talented TTA members and friends, the occasional white elephant, and some unique TTA themed offerings. Each chapter is asked to provide at least 5 quality items for the live auction, as well as other items for the silent auction. Members are asked to contribute items for the silent auction, white elephant items for the rummage sale, as well as goods for the ever popular Bake Sale. If you would like to contribute or have a friend who would like to contribute items for sale, or would like to help solicit items for the auction, contact your chapter chair. Please help by pre-registering auction items with Leslie el-Sayed , Auction Coordinator. All that is needed for each item is a brief description (i.e. Kelty hydration pack), the estimated dollar value, name of contributor, and the name and Chapter of the TTA member. We have some forms to help with collecting and registering auction items: solicitation letter and donation receipt, and auction item registration form. Please be sure and bring your checkbook and/or cash for the auction, bake sale, and white elephant sale. And remember, the objective is to not just to try to find a bargain, but to contribute to TTA's on-going trail programs. |
